RACE ENGINE GOODWILL CONSIDERATION POLICY

The engines built by Autometrics Motorsports are purpose-built racing engines intended exclusively for off-road competition. Due to the inherent risks and extreme operating conditions associated with motorsports, mechanical failure is always a possibility regardless of component quality, maintenance, or tuning.

Accordingly, Autometrics Motorsports does not provide a warranty, express or implied, on race engines or related components.

However, when appropriate, we may provide goodwill consideration at our sole discretion under the terms outlined below.

No Warranty

No express or implied warranty exists, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Any post-sale repair consideration, replacement parts, labor discounts, or financial participation is offered solely as a voluntary goodwill gesture and shall not constitute a warranty or establish any future obligation.

Workmanship Commitment

While no warranty is provided on race engines or components due to the inherent risks of motorsports competition, Autometrics Motorsports stands behind the quality of its workmanship.

If, after inspection, Autometrics Motorsports determines that a mechanical failure was directly caused by an error in machining, assembly, or workmanship performed by our shop, we will repair or correct that workmanship at no cost to the customer.

Covered workmanship may include, but is not limited to:

Incorrect bearing clearances

Improper fastener torque or assembly procedures

Errors in performed machining

Incorrect piston-to-wall or ring end-gap specifications

Assembly errors involving internal engine components

The determination of whether a failure resulted from workmanship rests solely with Autometrics Motorsports following inspection of the engine, components, installation, ECU calibration, and available data logs.

This commitment applies only to workmanship performed by Autometrics Motorsports or its sublets and does not extend to failures caused by tuning, calibration, operating conditions, component failure, installation errors, maintenance deficiencies, abuse, racing incidents, or any other cause outside our control.

Any repair performed under this Workmanship Commitment is limited to correcting the workmanship issue identified by Autometrics Motorsports. It does not constitute a warranty, does not extend or restart any period of goodwill consideration, and does not create any ongoing obligation beyond the specific repair performed.

Purpose of Goodwill Consideration

The purpose of this policy is to foster long-term relationships with our customers by evaluating failures fairly and objectively.

If a failure occurs, we will review all available information to determine whether goodwill consideration is appropriate.

All goodwill decisions are made solely by Autometrics Motorsports and are final.

Autometrics Motorsports maximum goodwill consideration value shall never exceed the original invoice value.

Mandatory Data Logging Requirement

As a condition for any goodwill consideration, the vehicle must be equipped with an ECU and/or data logger capable of continuously recording operational data.

The following channels, if capable, must be logged during every startup, dyno session, test session, practice session, qualifying session, and race event.

Required Engine Break-In Procedure

Compliance with the prescribed break-in procedure is a condition of eligibility for any workmanship repair or goodwill consideration.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the customer agrees to following the break-in procedure provided with the engine. Additionally, the customer agrees that the engine will not be raced until the prescribed break-in procedure has been completed.

Failure to follow the prescribed break-in procedure, failure to document the break-in process, or failure to retain the required data logs may result in denial of workmanship repair or goodwill consideration where Autometrics Motorsports determines that such noncompliance contributed to the failure.

Autometrics Motorsports may request copies of the break-in data logs, calibration files, maintenance records, and inspection notes as part of any evaluation following a mechanical issue.

Data Retention Requirements

Customers shall:

Save every ECU data log.

Maintain logs for at least twelve (12) months.

Provide raw ECU files upon request.

Screen captures or printed graphs are not acceptable.

Failure to provide complete raw data logs may result in denial of goodwill consideration.

Procedure Following Any Mechanical Issue

If any abnormal engine condition or failure occurs:

Shut the engine off immediately.

Do not restart the engine.

Notify Autometrics Motorsports before any disassembly.

Preserve all data logs.

Provide photographs of the installation.

Return requested components for inspection if requested.

Disassembly without prior authorization may affect eligibility for goodwill consideration.

Conditions That May Affect Goodwill Consideration

Goodwill consideration may be denied if evidence shows:

Improper break-in

Oil starvation

Improper oil level

Improper fuel pressure

Improper air/fuel ratios

Detonation

Pre-ignition

Overheating

Engine over-speed

Improper maintenance

Debris ingestion

Foreign object damage

Cooling system failure

Unauthorized tuning

Disabled ECU or dash safety features or alarms

Improper fuel

Fuel contamination

Water ingestion

Component modifications after delivery

Unauthorized repairs

Failure to maintain required data logs

ECU Safety Requirements And Dash Alarms

To be eligible for goodwill consideration, all applicable alarms and safety strategies shall remain active, including:

Oil pressure protection

Fuel pressure protection

Coolant temperature protection

Lambda protection

Rev limiter

Sensor fault protection

Intentional disabling of these protections may eliminate eligibility for goodwill assistance.

Entire Agreement

This Goodwill Consideration Policy represents the entire understanding regarding post-sale support for race engines built by Autometrics Motorsports.

Nothing contained herein shall be interpreted as creating a warranty or guaranteeing repair, replacement, reimbursement, or financial participation.

All goodwill consideration is voluntary and provided solely at the discretion of Autometrics Motorsports.

Customer Acknowledgment

By installing this engine, it is acknowledged that:

You are purchasing a service for a competition racing engine.

Racing involves inherent mechanical risk.

No warranty has been offered or implied.

Goodwill consideration is entirely discretionary.

Complete data logging is required for any request for goodwill consideration.

Failure to comply with this policy may affect eligibility for goodwill consideration.
